He's quite the handsome boog.

Benelli is a Brittany purchased from Cross Creek Brittanys.  He is going to be a gun dog for Ron.  We are expecting great things from him.  Currently he is learning basic obedience and how to be a good member of the family.

Hearthside's Ripley When Wet

Ripley is a 3 year old male red merle Australian Shepherd purchased to be the family pet as well as a conformation/herding/agility dog.  However, when he was 3 mos old he was kicked in the face by one of the foals and lost his eye.  That ruined his career as a conformation dog but you should see th way he moves when looking at the cows (and chickens).  I want to put him into formal training for herding.  That's another project to add to the list.  It is still up in the air on whether or not to breed him.  He has not been OFA certified yet.  He will also be CERF'd (at least his good eye will be) if we elect to breed him.  He did CERF clean at 7 weeks of age and has visitied several opthalmologists since his accident that have given his good eye a clean bill of health.

We do occasionally come across an aussie that needs a home.  When we do, we make sure the pet is current on vaccines, dewormngs, heartworm and flea prevention.  The dog is then microchipped and spayed/neutered and then put up for adoption.  We will post these pets on the aussie rescue website  (see links) when we have them.
