| The chickens love their home |
We currenty have 6 types of chickens currently at Bruskotter Farms. They are Ameracauna (easter egg chickens),
Rhode Island Red, Cochins, Bukeyes, Cuckoo Marans, and Welsummer. The cochins come in mutliple colors. We have
blue, black, buff and partridge cochins. The Marans and Welsummers lay a very dark, chocolate brown egg. Buckeye
chickens are the only breed of chicken developed in Ohio and the only breed of chicken to be developed by a woman. They
are also known for the mousing ability.

We have chosen the midget white turkey. In a blind taste test against other heritage breeds and a butterball, the
midget white came in first place. We are very excited about this opportunity. And here they are. We ordered
15, 10 survived. We've got 4 toms and 6 hens. I'll keep you posted after trying one to see if they are
as tasty as hoped
