Our chickens live in a coop at night but are let out in the morning and spend the entire day outside. They are
not surrounded by fences and are free to pick out tasty tidbits from the pasture surrounding their coop. Free
range chicken eggs are very easy to distinguish from their supermarket counterparts. The yolks are a brilliant orange
color, not a pale yellow. The whites are thick and very formed. When you crack a free range egg into your pan,
the whites don't spread over the entire pan but stay nice and formed. The taste is very rich as well. Our
chickens produce green, cream and brown eggs. We will be adding very dark brown eggs this summer. Eggs are $2.50
a dozen and clean, empty egg cartons are always accepted.
