About Us

The Farm

We started our farming venture in 2003 in Kentucky.  We started out with a few belted galloway cattle and a belted galloway/dexter cross bull with the purpose of breeding cattle for an emerging market.  We had a desire to also breed high quality, performance Arabian horses that any family could afford.  In 2008 we moved to Ohio and upgraded our space.  We went from 12+ acres to 50+ acres.  Now I had to have something more to do with all of this bounty.  Currently we still have our mini belted program and Arabian horses.  We have added some chickens to the mix and of course we'll always have the faithful Aussie sidekicks.  We have many plans in the future but those will be shared at a later date.  Thanks for stopping in and please feel free to contact us for an appointment to see what we have to offer.

Our Philosophy

It has always been our goal to provide quality animals at affordable prices.  For the cattle people, their are a ton of naysayers that believe that selling crossbred animals for breeding purposes is not ethical and lying to the customer.  I respectfully disagree as long as the consumer knows what they are getting.  We do not advertise our cattle as purebred unless we have papers on them (as is the case with our belted galloway cows).  We tell people what they are getting when they purchase from us.  The diversity of our domestic animal world is due to people selecting for traits out of available animals and breeding to solidify those traits in a different breed.  It does nothing to negate the qualities of the original stock, just combines different characteristics so that a new breed can be promoted.  It does take several generations and it does take a commitment to culling animals that are not up to the standards for which you are breeding.
Our Arabian horses are bred to be performance animals, not halter champions.  We want to provide the new owners with a horse that will fit whatever pursuit they choose.  We encourage the life long bond with our horses.  These are horses that can perform just as well in the show ring as out on the trail.
